Trustees Liability Policy

The Trustees Liability policy provides protection against claims for actual or alleged breach of trust, breach of duty, negligent acts errors or omissions (Wrongful Acts) whilst undertaking their duties of or for a trust.

Insurance is arranged by the trust for itself and on behalf of the individual trustees including corporate trustees.

Who is Protected

  • The insured entity – the trust.
  • The trustees, for the time being, acting collectively on behalf of the trust in a fiduciary capacity.
Coverage Provided

To the Trust
  • The costs to indemnify a trustee in respect of claims for Wrongful Acts.
To the Trustee in respect of claims from third parties for Wrongful Acts
The costs of:
  • damages, judgements, settlements, including claimants costs awarded against the insured persons
  • defending, investigating or monitoring any claim
where no indemnity is received from the trust.
