Associations Liability Policy

Association's Liability Insurance provides protection to those engaged in community or industry associations who might be held personally liable for mistakes, errors or omissions (Wrongful Acts) whilst undertaking their duties for the association.

Insurance is arranged by the association on behalf of the individuals who are involved in the association.

Who is Protected

  • The insured entity – the association.
  • The Insured Persons who are any past present or future directors, office holders, committee members, employees or any others who may be acting for the association at the direction of the directors or management.
Coverage Provided

To the Insured Person in respect of claims from third parties for Wrongful Acts
  • The costs of damages, judgements, settlements, including claimants costs awarded against the insured persons defending, investigating or monitoring any claim
where no indemnity is received from the association

To the Association
  • The costs to indemnify an Insured Person in respect of claims for Wrongful Acts
The policy also covers:
  • The costs of claims against the association arising from a Wrongful Act which constitutes a breach of professional duty
